  5. ¶1We are proud to be the first disk
  6. mag to present you this story.  Safe
  7. Hex  International  is  now sueing a
  8. Norwegian   computer   shop   called
  9. "Serad A/S" in Stavanger for piracy.
  10. It is the first time in history that
  11. a   computer   shop  gets  sued  for
  12. piracy.

  15. O.K,  That  was  just  some  quick
  16. facts,  her  comes  the whole story:
  17. Kurt  Hansen  (The  leader of SHI in
  18. Norway)   asked  the  shop  if  they
  19. wanted  to sell their disks "The New
  20. Superkillers".  But they didn't want
  21. to   because  they  could  not  earn
  22. enough money by selling it.

  25. Some  time  after  a boy phoned Kurt
  26. because Serad A/S was selling a copy
  27. of  "The  New  Superkillers"  for 50
  28. N.Kr.  and it stood on the disk that
  29. it  was  not supposed to be sold for
  30. more than 30 N.Kr.  The disk had not
  31. got the original label, and both the
  32. label  and  the  receipt was written
  33. with  the  same  hand-writing.  This
  34. disk is one of the main evidences in
  35. this case.  When Kurt found out that
  36. they were selling his disks illegal,
  37. he  contacted  the shop and tried to
  38. sort this problem out.  But the shop
  39. wouldn't   co-operate  at  all.   He
  40. wrote  to  them  two  times and said
  41. that  if  they  agreed  to pay about
  42. $100-$400    the   case   would   be
  43. finished.

  46. But  they wouldn't pay a cent.  Then
  47. he   contacted   the   rest  of  the
  48. organisation.   After some time with
  49. thoroughly  study  of the case, they
  50. found out that they should sue them.
  51. The shop is now sued for 35000 N.Kr.
  52. or about 6000$ !

  55. All   the  big  newspapers  and  TV-
  56. stations in Norway has got this news
  57. but  they  are  to  afraid  to loose
  58. their  advertisement  money from the
  59. shop.  (We in the Resident staff are
  60. not afraid of anybody !)

  70. ¶1At  last  som  words from me (ed.):
  71. Not  long  ago,  my  mouse-port  got
  72. damaged,  and I gave it to Serad A/S
  73. for service.  When I came to get it,
  74. they said that it costed me over 500
  75. N.Kr.  or about $80.  Can you belive
  76. that?    That's   not  what  I  call
  77. service, I call it robbery !
